Technical Offering Support Manager – Rotary Drills, Parts & Services Sandvik Mining and Rock Technology in Alachua, Florida is hiring a Technical Offering Support Manager to support our Rotary Drills Division. This role focuses on engineering design and technical expertise for Parts & Services products and manages discrete work packages within R&D projects.

Responsibilities

Deliver engineering design and technical expertise for Parts & Services products in the commercial offering.

Manage scope of discrete work packages within active R&D projects to ensure aftermarket considerations are included.

Collaborate with Technical Services departments and Product Line Managers during product development and tender negotiations.

Support the company’s Intellectual Property strategy.

Lead actions to support the new Parts & Services project model during the NPD process.

Design and evaluate theoretical designs, define suitable testing, and ensure products meet quality, customer, risk, and reliability requirements.

Provide engineering advice on EHSQ aspects related to specification, design, and testing of Parts & Services products.

About You

At least 7 years of experience working with major components in engineering applications.

Good understanding of aftermarket business, end‑customer operating cost expectations, equipment design, and system‑software concepts.

Proven track record of leading small to medium‑sized R&D projects from concept to completion, including budget and schedule management.

Self‑motivated, hands‑on, organized, and capable of following through on complex matters.

Excellent influencing skills with the ability to develop trusted relationships with Product Line teams, Technical Services, and other stakeholders.

Fluent English communication skills.

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline is required. An MSc, PE license, or chartered engineering status is desirable.

In this role you will report to the Director of Engineering within the Parts & Services Division and will be based in Alachua.
