Role: SATCOM Military Operations Analyst
KBR has a new opportunity supporting the U.S. Space Force Satellite Communications mission as a SATCOM Military Operations Analyst at Peterson SFB, CO.
In this role you will:
Provide SATCOM planning, technical support services, and analytical help to the integrated project team (IPT) supporting international partners.
Support the effective implementation, management, and direction of the U.S. responsibilities as identified in the applicable MOU.
Coordinate with users of SATCOM systems as a project team liaison.
Assist the Operational Project Manager (OPM) in managing DoD resources for users of SATCOM systems, as defined in Annex A of the applicable MOUs.
Key Responsibilities
Support implementation, management, and direction of the U.S. WGS Bilateral Operational Project Management (OPM) as part of the USA‑AUS WGS MOU.
Act as liaison between U.S. Military Departments and users of SATCOM systems to support all operational and technical aspects of the project.
Develop, prepare, deliver, and present reports and briefing materials for meetings associated with MOUs, Wideband Working Group (WWG), Project Status Review (PSR), Operations Support Working Group (OSG), Technical Interchange Meeting (TIM), and Steering Committees (SC).
Review documents related to SATCOM operations.
Software Engineer As a highly skilled and innovative Software Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain cutting‑edge software solutions for scientific and engineering applications.
What You'll Do
Perform all activities associated with design, development, implementation, maintenance, configuration management, and quality control of software.
Define system and software requirements and obtain customer approval.
Analyze customer requirements and translate them into design.
Implement Agile development tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket/Git.
Identify potential roadblocks and develop adaptive software solutions.
Improve performance metrics through planning and execution of development tasks.
Respond to and resolve software discrepancies against documented requirements.
Collaborate with the team to define software requirements.
Generate program design language and code based on department standards.
Design, develop, test, and deploy software systems for customers.
Determine software maintainability and adherence to user requirements.
Generate/update documents defining software product baselines.
Explore new programming languages to deliver a complete product.
Support on‑site meetings and deliveries to customers.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Must be a U.S. or Australian citizen.
Must possess an active U.S. Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph or Australian PV Clearance.
Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, or related field.
5+ years of experience in software development, cybersecurity, and software modernization.
Strong expertise in software engineering standards, specifications, and best practices.
Familiarity with C++, C#, Java, and Python.
Experience with software quality assurance, testing, and validation.
Individuals may require U.S. DoD 8140 / 8570 baseline certifications based on actual job duties.
Location: Peterson SFB, CO (SATCOM) or Alice Springs (Software Engineer).
The Software Engineer position is expected to be on‑site 100%.
