SCM sustainability Specialist / Social role at ABB. Reports to Global SCM Sustainability Manager. Denna Position Rapporterar Till Global SCM Sustainability Manager ABB helps industries become faster, more resource-efficient and sustainable. ABB is a global market leader providing the right conditions for success. This role is part of ABB Robotics and focuses on sustainability through responsible sourcing practices. Responsibilities
Provide leadership and support to the procurement organization on sustainability topics and requests, including participation in supplier on-site auditing, sourcing decisions, supplier requests, and category strategies Lead and coordinate social sustainability programs within Supply Chain Management (SCM), such as the Supply Chain Due Diligence Program and the Responsible Minerals Program Develop and deliver training and upskilling activities for local and global procurement teams to promote responsible sourcing practices Monitor and develop supplier sustainability performance through existing frameworks and support ongoing implementations Track social impact of purchased materials and collaborate with procurement to initiate actions with suppliers to improve sustainability performance Coordinate and support process adaptations to ensure compliance with current and emerging social regulations relevant to procurement (e.g., UFLPA, EUBR, EUFLR, CSDDD) Serve as the SCM representative in global internal sustainability forums to facilitate cross-functional knowledge sharing and alignment of sustainability objectives Future (additional) Responsibilities
Support development and implementation of a responsible sourcing policy for the global SCM organization Represent the organization at external forums (conferences, industry events, task forces) to stay informed on emerging sustainability trends Qualifications
Education & Experience
Master’s degree in supply chain management, business and human rights, human rights and international law or related field >5 years of working experience in sustainability and/or supplier management Experience working in a global environment Skills
Strong knowledge of international social sustainability guidelines and frameworks (International Bill of Human Rights, UN Guiding Principles, OECD Guidelines) Strong knowledge of Conflict Minerals and social due diligence Good knowledge of Supply Chain Management (SCM) and supplier management Good knowledge of international supply chain and human rights due diligence legislation Excellent project management and execution skills; ability to drive change in a decentralized organization Ability to acquire and apply legal, technical and regulatory information Excellent communication and writing skills in English; knowledge of other languages (e.g., Mandarin) is a plus Proficiency with Office 365, PowerBI, etc. Ability to communicate effectively to various audiences Strong networking and relationship-building skills Self-motivated and organized; able to handle multiple tasks and work both independently and in a team Preferred Qualifications
Experience with EcoVadis or similar sustainability rating solutions Experience with supply chain mapping tools Social auditing experience Job Details
