Overview The Production Supervisor is responsible for the function of the entire shift, including helping develop solutions & processes that support ensuring the lines run efficiently and with high safety & quality standards; leading change for business support & lean transformation in alignment with company focus; coaching individuals & team and teaching waste elimination and executing projects using all or any tools established.

Responsibilities

Promote safety first culture that fosters an injury‑free workplace

Participate in setting of daily goals prior to shift start‑up

Help perform physical audits of the production work performed, monitoring against productivity & quality standards, working with departments to address all issues/concerns

Communicate, investigate, and correct any product quality exceptions and issues

Lead Daily Toolbox Talks according to standard work established

Facilitate team development, working to train the team members within the shifts and support training needs across all shifts

Ensure good housekeeping throughout shift, initiating and following Lean practices

Measure and monitor area performance utilizing established metrics

Promote a positive & productive team environment—lead by example

Focus on maintaining scheduling requirements, communicating issues in a timely manner

Demonstrate flexibility to meet the needs of the shift

Develop systems and processes to sustain PLZ improvement activity, including coaching, teaching, mentoring, and utilizing problem solving approach across the line(s)/teams

Participate in daily report‑out meetings

Work with department managers to ensure preventative maintenance activities are complete and promote continuous improvement of equipment reliability

Provide performance feedback of team members to managers, along with development of training plans to support skill advancement and cross training to improve team flexibility

Focus on team engagement to achieve continuous improvement in both production efficiency and changeover completion

Must have SAP production knowledge

Education and Experience

High school diploma, BS in engineering a plus

2+ years relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment

Prior supervisory experience

OSHA Safety certification, Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM), and Certified Manufacturing Specialist (CMS) a plus

Compensation The base pay for this position ranges from $72,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $90,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay depends on market location and may vary based on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
