Job Description: The School of Applied Engineering Technology is pleased to invite applications for a full‑time tenure‑track faculty appointment in Cybersecurity, Computer Science and Computer Information Systems disciplines. Major responsibilities of this position include college‑level teaching of Cybersecurity, Computer Science, and Computer Information Systems lecture and laboratory courses in such content areas as cybersecurity, networking, computer administration concepts, programming, software engineering, computer architecture, and several other areas. Additional responsibilities include academic advising, curriculum development, participation on committees, and collaboration with colleagues to assess student learning outcomes.

Major Responsibilities
Be responsive to student questions and available for student support.
Use appropriate technology to enhance learning.
Assess learning outcomes and adapt curriculum to meet learning objectives.
Demonstrate insight and encouragement in working with diverse student populations, especially students traditionally underrepresented in higher education.
Provide appropriate academic advising to students to support timely degree completion.
Be innovative in the presentation of lectures and hands‑on learning activities that achieve learning outcomes.
Provide timely feedback on students' assignments and exams throughout each semester.
Be accountable to meet the needs of the Department and the College, including timely submission of grades and other required materials.
Requirements: Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college, university or foreign equivalency in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related discipline.
Master's degree from an accredited college, university or foreign equivalency in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related discipline.
Industry recognized professional license or certification; with a minimum of 3 years of full‑time employment in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
Doctorate in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
Background in teaching college level courses.
Demonstrated connections with local industry.
Bilingual in English and Spanish. English and other languages will be considered.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project).
Familiar with some or all of the following software programs:
Programming Languages – Java, C++ and Python
Networking
Network Security

Salary for Assistant Professor level is $59,676.
