Compensation $13.00 an hour
Job Description Key Duties
Maintain positive relations with visitors, being courteous, respectful, and exercising flexibility to best serve the public during all work activities.
Prepare for public programs/presentations and exhibitions/displays relating to the site's mission statement. Give tours through the historic home and provide information on the site history.
Perform museum duties, including cash register operation, securing, and processing revenue according to policy and procedure, taking inventory and stocking museum store merchandise.
Conduct maintenance tasks in assigned work areas including inspection of structures and grounds. Work activities in this area include contributing to a safe, secure, clean, and orderly environment for the public and staff. Clean the historic home and museum building and attached porches, clean all site public restrooms, clean ranch outbuildings: blacksmith shop, big barn, log cabin, and observation tower.
Up to 19 hours a week.
Must be able to work weekends.
Education and Experience High School Diploma or GED
