Tellers at Longview Bank interact with bank customers more than all other staff combined. Tellers have to be people who like people, who present themselves well to people, smile naturally and they should have a positive attitude. Tellers need to be good at remembering names and be able to handle detailed work. As a member of the front line customer service team, they must be able to determine customers’ needs and satisfy those needs with appropriate bank products or personnel.

Monday - Friday, daytime shifts plus rotating Saturday mornings

Primary Duties
Debits and credits to customer accounts via computer and examines for endorsements, receive proper identification.
Answer basic customer inquiries regarding interest rates, service charges, account histories and refers customers to proper department for issues that cannot be resolved at the teller line.
Identify counterfeit currency.
Accepts loan payments, verify payment amount, account to apply to & issue receipts as needed.
Admits customers to safe deposit box vault and assists with entry to box.
Maintain appropriate logs: cashier’s checks, cash, money orders, CTR’s and etc.
Cross sell bank products and services.
Complete all training required by management and comply with all bank policies and procedures.
Complies with BSA/AML training and reports any suspicious activity to BSA officer.
Any and all other duties as might be assigned to you.
Qualifications Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required unless enrolled in high school.
Previous cash handling experience preferred, but is not required.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy required.
Ability to handle multiple tasks required.
Basic computer skills and familiarity with banking software preferred.
High level of integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality required.
