Position Summary AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center is seeking a motivated PA/APP to join our Cardiothoracic Surgery team through a structured
Clinical Training Pathway
designed to develop advanced surgical and peri‑operative skills. This role is ideal for candidates with strong interest in CT Surgery who are eager to grow in a hands‑on, highly supportive environment.
Preferred Background
Experience on a surgical floor, surgical/CT ICU, or prior exposure to CT Surgery
Comfort managing post‑operative patients within a multidisciplinary care team
Training & Professional Development
Comprehensive training in first assisting, endoscopic vein harvesting (EVH), and peri‑operative patient management
Structured 1‑2 year development period with progressive responsibility as competencies are achieved
Ongoing mentorship from experienced CT Surgery PAs and attending surgeons
Key Responsibilities (as competencies are met)
Participate in first assist responsibilities for adult cardiothoracic surgical procedures
Perform (or train to perform) endoscopic vein harvesting for CABG cases
Manage post‑operative patients in the ICU, step‑down, and inpatient units
Collaborate closely with surgeons, APPs, residents, and nursing staff to support high‑quality patient care
Compensation & Benefits
