Overview
DLH Corp is actively seeking PRN (as needed) Pharmacist candidates that will be responsible for providing verification of mail order prescriptions for our nation's veterans. These positions will be in a closed-pharmacy production facility. No retail duties! The PRN Pharmacist will be scheduled depending upon production needs, as needed, 0-3 days per week, covering the following shift: First Shift:
6:30am - 5:00pm, Monday - Friday Responsibilities
Assess drug orders and cross match with medications presented at Checking Stations. Compound and dispense medications. Pre-verify medications loaded into highly specialized mechanical equipment. Verify and fill Controlled Substance orders. Perform Quality Assurance functions and supervise Pharmacy Technicians. Qualifications
Pharmacist candidates must meet the following: Graduate of an American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE) accredited school or university. Hold a valid and unrestricted Pharmacist License in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia. Minimum of one year of recent (within the past two years) practical pharmacist experience. Ability to obtain VetPro certification (credentialing system required of all VHA health care providers). Must be a U.S. citizen Demonstrate effective interpersonal communications. Must be able to read and communicate in English. Be able to lift 30 pounds. Have the ability to stand or sit for long periods of time. Be able to meet all regular hours and overtime hours that are required by the facility. This position is located in a secured federal building. The VA requires that all applicants: Must be able to pass a Federal background check. NO felony convictions.
