Job Details
Work under immediate to general supervision and direction of a mentor/preceptor in entry-level position
Provide specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology services to adult and/or pediatric patient populations
Work in variety of care settings including acute inpatient facilities, outpatient physician practices, diagnostic/urgent care centers and remote statewide outreach clinics
Prepare patients for procedures and correlate clinical history with physician-ordered procedures
Utilize highly specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic equipment and techniques for diagnostic, interventional and surgical procedures
Conduct post-procedure reviews to ensure completion, documentation and technical quality standards
Transfer images and data to archival systems and prepare studies for physician reporting
Perform operator-level quality control checks, cleaning, high-level disinfecting and user maintenance
Participate in continuing education, professional development and research activities
Associate's degree or higher required
Must be graduate of CAAHEP accredited cardiovascular program, JRCERT accredited radiologic technology program, or completed Paramedic training program
AHA BLS certification required
Must meet ARRT Cardiovascular Interventional Radiography (CV) eligibility requirements within 12 months of hire OR complete Paramedic training program within 12 months of hire
Ability to work as part of team, multi-task and remain calm in stressful situations
Must demonstrate sensitivity to patients' physical and psychological needs
