Responsibilities
Ensure operations comply with state and federal regulations (e.g., FDA-approved SOPs, OSHA, CLIA, GMP).
Maintain high level of customer service and positive donor experience in line with company values.
Stock and replenish supplies, maintain a clean, professional work environment.
Review and confirm donor identification, maintain confidentiality per SOPs.
Set up and prepare all equipment and disposable supplies for venipuncture and plasmapheresis; label units and samples accurately.
Execute venipunctures and plasma collection, maintaining highest standards of quality and safety.
Operate automated plasmapheresis machines, respond to alarms/alerts, document exceptions.
Monitor donor conditions to ensure comfort, safety, and product quality.
Maintain proper donor-to-machine ratio, disconnect donors, dispose of biohazard waste per safety protocols.
Perform daily, weekly, monthly calibration and maintenance of machines; remove/replace equipment as needed.
Maintain accurate documentation (logs), report unsafe situations to management.
Drive training efficiencies to ensure timeliness and compliance.
Troubleshoot machine alarms/alerts, perform QC routines.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
3 months experience in medical/healthcare environment or equivalent education/experience preferred.
Completed required training documentation prior to independent duties.
State-required certification or licensing (if applicable).
Physical & Additional Requirements
Sit or stand for extended periods.
Tug, lift, pull up to 35 lbs.
Bend, stoop, kneel as needed.
Use required PPE.
Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
View terminal less than 18” from face.
Enter environment with temperature –40°C per SOPs.
Perform precise tasks requiring repetitive small motor skills.
Use assistive devices if needed.
Work daytime, evening hours, weekends, holidays, extended shifts frequently.
Use computer and other office equipment.
Communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
Focus on tasks for extended periods.
Navigate office safely (stairs, elevators).
Travel up to 20% via airplane/vehicle.
