Shift: Monday–Friday 5:30 am–1:00 pm / Saturday 6:00 am–10:00 am
Summary The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) is the company's first point of contact for patients. This role includes greeting patients, answering questions, managing the waiting area, assisting with breaks when other phlebotomists are unavailable, and gradually training on phlebotomy skills. The PSR I creates a trusting atmosphere, explains procedures, upholds patient confidentiality, and maintains a safe, professional environment.
Responsibilities
Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
Maintain the integrity of the lobby and waiting area.
Complete required records and documentation.
Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
Requirements
Ability to handle patients with care and compassion while assisting with check‑ins via kiosk or handheld tablet.
Willingness to learn phlebotomy skills when coverage or downtime occurs.
After training, perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing following established procedures.
HIGH LEVEL OF CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE/SKILLS ARE REQUIRED – this is critical to the heart of the role.
Keyboard and data‑entry experience.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent –
REQUIRED
Experience
Minimum of 1–2 years of client‑facing customer service (e.g., retail, home health).
Prior phlebotomy experience is not required.
Additional Job Details Candidate must have reliable transportation to travel to and from the worksite (e.g., car, rideshare). They must be available to work whenever scheduled, be on time, and remain for the entire shift. Excessive absenteeism or tardiness will result in termination. Candidates should be within a 20–25 minute commute window to ensure timely coverage.
