Strategic Account Executive
Join Upsun as a Strategic Account Executive and drive new customer growth across North America. Upsun is a cloud application platform designed for hybrid teams, combining AI‑powered code creation and human problem solving, allowing developers, DevOps and platform teams to build, ship, and scale confidently.
As a strategic senior seller, you will identify, engage, and close high‑potential accounts, build trusted relationships and guide prospects from initial interest through long‑term partnership. You will own the full sales cycle, collaborating closely with Marketing, Solutions Architects and Customer Success.
Impact of a Strategic Account Executive You play a key role in driving new customer growth by identifying and closing high‑potential accounts across North America, helping organizations discover the value of Upsun’s platform and ensuring long‑term partnership.
What to expect
Territory & Account Strategy : Create and execute a tailored plan to achieve corporate objectives.
End‑to‑End Sales Ownership : Manage the full sales cycle, including assessing buying intent and tracking data in Salesforce.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration : Partner closely with internal teams to ensure effective coordination.
Product Demonstrations : Deliver compelling demos to technical and business audiences.
Market & Competitive Insight : Stay informed on competitor offerings and industry trends.
Stakeholder Communication : Foster clear communication with management, customers and partners.
Forecasting & Deal Execution : Accurately forecast pipeline and close new business.
Revenue Growth & Pipeline Management : Drive new subscription revenue and manage a robust pipeline.
Regional Travel : Travel as needed within the DACH region.
What you bring
5+ Years Technology Sales Experience : Demonstrated success in technology‑focused B2B sales, particularly in Germany/DACH.
Tenacity and Target‑Driven : Consistently exceed sales targets.
Strong value‑selling approach : Resolve client challenges with technology.
Growth Mindset : Pursue continuous improvement and coaching.
Technological Acumen : Quickly grasp new tech; interest in cloud platforms.
Pipeline Generation : Generate sales pipelines and nurture prospects to contract signature.
Communication & Interpersonal Skills : Excellent verbal/written communication in English and German.
Team Collaboration : Positive, collaborative team player.
Sales Methodologies : Experience with Solution Selling, Value Selling, MEDDIC/MEDDPICC preferred.
Self‑Starter : Independent and proactive.
CRM Proficiency : Experience with Salesforce.
Travel Requirements : Willingness to travel (~25% of the time).
Bonus Points
Experience with platform‑as‑a‑service, cloud technologies, web applications.
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and modern application development workflows.
