**Location:** Batesville, AR
**Schedule:**Monday – Friday, 6:30 A.M.- 4:00 P.M
**Pay Range:**$17.00 - $19.00 per hour, depending on experienceWe are currently hiring a **Scale Clerk** to join our team at the **Batesville Transfer Station**. This role is essential to the daily operations of the facility, ensuring accurate weight tracking, safe practices, and excellent customer service.**Duties & Responsibilities:*** Greet and direct all customers and contractors upon entry to the transfer station* Weigh trucks in and out and calculating payments for customers* Track weight information from scale to computer system and get appropriate signatures* Ensure that incoming garbage loads are safe and do not contain any inappropriate material* Perform full clerical and general office duties* Assist with office duties, filing and paperwork as needed* Ensure that customers and employees conduct all business in a safe manner and wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)* Provide general upkeep of the Scale House* Generate regular reports summarizing transaction data, weights, and other relevant information* Provide reports to management as required**Requirements:*** Proficient in operating computer systems and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)* ADEQ Journeyman or Masters certification preferred, if not, must be willing to get certification* Strong attention to detail and accuracy* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills* Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations is a plus* Medical, dental, and vision insurance* 401(k) dollar-for-dollar match up to 5%* Consistent, year-round employment*Waste Connections is an equal opportunity employer.
