The Customer Service Associate (CSA) provides support to the Account Manager (AM) or Senior Account Manager (SAM) by performing administrative functions on assigned Commercial Lines accounts following agency procedures. The CSA works directly with the AM and SAM in the handling of new accounts and servicing of existing Commercial Line accounts.

Primary Responsibilities

Assist AM or SAM with new and renewal business

Order Loss Runs

Prepare Draft Renewal Coverage Summary

Prepare appropriate communications using email templates

Navigate carrier websites and input change requests when applicable with a high degree of accuracy

Order Endorsements for policy changes at the direction of the AM or SAM

Checks carrier generated documents for accuracy including, but not limited to, policies, endorsements, audits, and cancellations

Communicate, follow-up if needed, and secure corrections, with documentation, from all carriers on policy discrepancies

Process Certificates of Insurance and Evidence of Property documents

Invoice transactions accurately including, but not limited to, endorsements, cancellations and audits

Prepare and mail/e-mail policy documents including, but not limited to, policies, endorsements, auto ID cards, audits, and cancellations

Respond to client requests professionally and within 24 hours of receipt

Follow-up on open tasks/activities daily

Process un-routed attachments daily

Update Applications in agency management system as

Must be able to work during regular working hours as established by the agency

Experience and Skills

High School Diploma or equivalent

Property & Casualty license will be obtained upon hire

Willingness to pursue continuing education (INS, CISR, ACSR, etc.)

Good organizational, verbal and written communication skills necessary

Ability to utilize computer programs and understand functionality

Basic computer and word processing skills required

Basic knowledge of standard billing and invoicing practices

Ability to maintain a positive attitude, express enthusiasm and be flexible

Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Appropriately attired for professional office environment

Maintains a professional, helpful and courteous demeanor with clients, carrier personnel, and agency personnel
