Job Title Maintenance Technician

Role Overview Qualified applicants must be able to perform all tasks noted below in a busy environment with limited supervision. From time to time, you may be required to work other shifts or be temporarily moved to other departments in the plant. Must also be prepared for any related duties assigned by the Supervisor or Management.

Schedule Sunday - Thursday 11pm - 6am, Overtime as required.

Essential Job Functions

Use of hand and electric tools.

General maintenance skills.

Basic knowledge of welding:

Stick welding.

Mig welding.

Tig welding.

Torch.

Basic knowledge of electrical:

Use of a multimeter.

Read AC/DC volts.

Read Amps.

Read resistance.

Knows the difference between single and 3 phases.

Basic knowledge of plumbing:

Basic knowledge of pipe and pipe fittings, type of metal, schedules, and what applications it used in.

Types of valves:

Gate

Ball

Butterfly

Globe

Check

Able to operate pipe threader:

Hand threader

Electric threader

Basic knowledge of pneumatics/hydraulics:

Single acting/ double acting

Flow control device.

Regulator

Basic troubleshooting skills:

Electrical

Mechanical

Perform daily maintenance tasks:

Boiler chemistries and safety device checks.

Utility meter readings.

Engine room checks.

Refrigeration:

Ammonia compressors

Condenser's

Evaporators

Required Skills and Abilities

The Maintenance Technician needs to be highly motivated and organized with the willingness to learn new equipment and processes.

Complete all necessary cleaning and workplace sanitation requirements.

Perform all tasks in a busy environment with limited supervision.

Record production information in a tablet, computer or by hand.

Attend all required company training.

Flexible to support work in all areas as needed.

Perform duties following all good manufacturing practices (GMP’s) including food, equipment, and operating safety requirements.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds consistently.

Stand for extended periods of time.

Vision including that ability to read, distance vision and peripheral.

Walk.
