Job Description
Sirius Staffing is a Manufacturing Technician for a contract-to-hire opportunity in Chandler, AZ.
Schedule: r otating 12-hour shifts (days: 6:00 am – 6:00 pm ; nights: 6:00 pm – 6:00 am ), including holidays, weekends, and on-call schedules .
Pay:$ 2 6.00 / hour.
Summary: The Manufacturing Technician supports s ystem s of chemicals and controls throughout the site. This role is highly hands‑on, physically demanding, and requires strong attention to safety and teamwork. Technicians receive comprehensive safety and on‑the‑job training under the guidance of a Senior Technician before being assigned to work in partnered teams .
Responsibilities:
Perform chemical handling duties, including changing 150+ drums, bottles, totes, bulk tankers, and cylinders per shift.
Climb tanker trucks using fall protection to offload chemicals into drums as needed.
Navigate physically demanding tasks such as walking 5–6 miles per day, climbing ladders, lifting 25–50 lbs., bending, and maneuvering in tight spaces.
Develop functional proficiency in site equipment, including chemical, slurry, and gas delivery systems.
Assist with equipment troubleshooting, basic system adjustments, and technical support following training.
Perform noninvasive preventative maintenance using documented procedures and maintain accurate electronic equipment logs.
F ollow all safety, hazardous communication (“Right to Know”), and site compliance requirements.
Maintain dependable attendance and provide at least a two-hour notice if unable to report to a scheduled shift .
Qualifications
High School Diploma.
Strong mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting skills; technical, electronics, military, or hands‑on experience preferred.
Willingness to perform physical labor associated with drum and cylinder movement.
Full PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, earplugs , gloves, chemical apron, etc.) is provided . Workers receive vouchers for required safety boots.
Must pass a Fit for Duty Evaluation prior to reporting and annually, including Pulmonary Function Test for respirator use, audiogram baseline, and physical exam.
Ability to Use a Supplied Contained Breathing Air Respirator for short periods (10–15 minutes) while working with designated chemicals
Ability to work both day and night shifts—candidates interested in only one shift will not be considered.
