Program Overview The position will provide development, implementation and coordination for this hospital-based violence intervention program, dedicated to reducing injury, re‑injury and mortality rates among youth by providing injured patients & their families support, in coordination with B.R.A.G. (Bronx Rises Against Gun Violence).

Ensure that all requirements of the City contract are met based on Scope of Work and approved budget.

Perform a wide variety of administrative, logistic, operational, and technical tasks related to internal and external partners.

Help design, coordinate and conduct programs and activities related to violence prevention.

Serve as a program liaison and provide customer service and information about violence prevention to perspective patients, clinicians and SBH staff.

Analyze data provided by SBH injury prevention of GSW and Stabbing victims eligible for services.

Submit monthly data reports to NYC DOH as required by City contract. By which day and via the NYC DOH portal.

Share monthly data reviews with BRAG – virtual or in person meetings.

Prepared based on data collected from a PDSA (Plan, Do, Study & Act) iterative model for continuous improvement that uses the scientific method to test changes. It will be reported on a monthly basis within SBH QAPI meetings.

Network with the B.R.A.G. hospital responders on a daily basis to ensure referrals are being transmitted. Evenings and weekends if required.

Work with B.R.A.G. to understand the flow of their referral processing of patients and which result in their interventions.

Facilitate communications and networking between B.R.A.G. staff and SBH EM staff to increase efficiency and effectiveness of the program.

Identify various means for youth recruitment, including establishing relationships with CBOs and schools for recruitment. Attending outside events such as health fairs as needed.

Based on program details developed by SVP, implement the non-contact boxing & fitness program.

Submit monthly report on Boxing data (name of participants, race/ethnicity, ages, attendance, comments on progress of the program) to SVP & Administrative Director.

Oversee the operations of STAMP and SEMP which includes profiles of participants, curriculum, expenditures, and attendance rates.

Develop, implement and supervise the Career Awareness and Resource Education Seminars (C.A.R.E.S). Includes presenter outreach, scheduling, attendance, setup of materials and technology, ordering of food and activities if necessary.

Handle and serve as liaison for all internship opportunities for youth community members and high school students, including but not limited to all DYCD Employment Programs (Summer Youth Employment & Work, Learn & Grow), Youth Peer, Fall and Spring Internship.

Facilitate communications and networking amongst service providers to increase efficiency and effectiveness of direct services to victims and their families.

Facilitate communications with Emergency Medicine Staff to make sure Stop the Bleed, STAMP & SEMP programming meet grant requirements.

Qualifications Education Required: Bachelor's Degree or experience necessary

License(s) Required: None

Experience/Skills Required: Bilingual in Spanish

Experience with public speaking

Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
