Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care by applying clinical nursing knowledge and skills.
Ensure the safety and comfort of patients and families according to legal, organizational, and professional standards.
Lead the team to enhance unit flow and functioning.
Qualifications
Education:
Graduate from an approved RN program (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
Experience:
2 years in a clinical area related to the department (preferred: two years of ambulatory care; prior supervisory experience).
Valid and current Texas RN license (preferred: none).
Current Basic CPR Level Skills (BCLS) through American Heart Association.
Licenses and Certifications
Current BCLS (American Heart Association).
Preferred: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
Special Skills
Use equipment and related supplies for the selected patient population, CPR, oxygen administration, and intravenous therapy (CRT experience).
Specialty nursing certification appropriate to specialty area assigned.
Windows‑based computer skills.
Additional Requirements
Experience leading a team.
