Radiation Oncology Business Services provides critical support to ensure patients receive timely and coordinated care. The team oversees medical clearance processes, advocates for patient treatment plans, and manages operational workflows to maintain efficiency and compliance across the department.
Job Duties
Supervise day-to-day functions of assigned area.
Facilitate patient medical clearance for Radiation Oncology patients.
Review clinical cases and develop individualized patient advocacy strategies.
Monitor appeal timelines and ensure compliance.
Develop strong clinical arguments for physician-defined care plans.
Manage staffing, performance evaluations, and professional development.
Ensure adherence to institutional policies and standards.
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care.
Maintain accurate documentation and reporting.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or graduation from an accredited school of dosimetry.
Required: 4 years of clinical nursing experience including two years radiation oncology experience and one year team lead or supervisory experience, or 2 years of dosimetry experience with dosimetry degree.
Required: RN state licensure (Texas) or CMD certified medical dosimetrist credential obtained within four years of job entry.
Required: BLS or CPR certification. Preferred: ACLS or PALS certification.
Strong leadership skills and ability to develop clinical arguments for care plans.
