PL Developments, also known as PLD, is a leading manufacturer, packager, and distributor of over-the-counter (OTC) pharmaceutical products and consumer healthcare goods.

Summary Millwright is responsible for general maintenance, repair, and alterations of all facilities including building interiors, exteriors, grounds, and facilities support equipment.

Job Qualifications

High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Minimum of two years’ experience as a maintenance technician. Specifically, in areas of Electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and troubleshooting.

Prior hands-on experience with boilers, water treatment, and air compressors.

Basic building maintenance, preventative maintenance, and minor emergency repairs experience.

Ability to work with ladders, scaffolds and in pits.

Capable of using precision hand tools for measurement of diameters, lengths, and radii.

Proficiency in basic math.

Demonstrated proficiency in the English language, both written and oral, detailed orientated.

Basic computer skills.

Position Responsibilities

Maintains a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, guidelines, and state regulations.

Utilize computer applications, plan, assign and monitor work assignments and maintain records of repairs, maintenance, and alterations.

Machinery relocation, layout, and installation of new or existing equipment.

Installation of airlines drain lines and supply piping.

Perform basic electrical work and determine when electricians are required.

Rebuild Pumps and Valves.

Accountable for the proper performance of area SOP’s and basic equipment and facility PM’s as assigned by the Facility Manager.

Perform daily PM’s or tasks required on Wastewater system, dust collectors, air handlers, water system, exhaust fans and compressed air system.

Install Screw pipe, propress or clamped piping systems.

Provide excellent customer service to build strong relationships with clients.

Must be able to interact and provide feedback to upper Management and staff.

Knowledge and practical experience with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Act) regulations.

Able to work in a fast-paced changing environment.

Able to meet tight project deadlines.

Occasionally will be required to work outside scheduled hours.

Perform other duties as assigned by Facilities Manager.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to wear all proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.

Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.

Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50lbs; occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 lbs.

Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance.

Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.

Exposure to chemicals, disagreeable odors, temperature variations and continuous standing.

May be exposed to high temperatures, dirty working conditions and high elevations when repairing or maintaining equipment may be necessary.
