Responsibilities Support students during whole and small group instruction and provide one‑on‑one assistance throughout the day.

Supervise lunch and recess periods and accompany students to specials such as art and music.

Perform additional tasks as needed to support classroom instruction under the supervision of the classroom teacher.

Qualifications

High School Diploma

Experience working with young children is necessary

Understanding of developmentally appropriate practices is desirable

Schedule & Hours 28.75 hours per week: 8:00 AM – 2:15 PM

Location Chapman Elementary School, Cheshire, CT

Compensation Salary: $18.00 per hour, in accordance with the Agreement Between Cheshire Board of Education and CSEA/SEIU Local 2001/760 in Behalf of the Cheshire Paraeducators and Lunchroom/Playground Aides
