Job Summary The Automotive Salesperson will sell new and used vehicles, building customer relationships, and guiding clients through the purchase process, requiring strong communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
Responsibilities
Greet and assist customers in a friendly, professional manner throughout the sales process.
Customer Engagement: Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner, understanding their automotive needs and preferences.
Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with the latest automotive models, features, and technologies to effectively communicate product details to customers.
Sales Process: Guide customers through the sales process, from initial inquiry to vehicle delivery, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience.
Negotiation: Effectively negotiate and close sales deals, ensuring customer satisfaction and achieving sales targets.
Documentation: Complete necessary paperwork accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with dealership policies and legal requirements.
Follow-up: Maintain ongoing relationships with customers, addressing post-sale inquiries and providing exceptional after-sales support.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Previous automotive sales experience preferred, but not required—training provided for the right candidate.
Strong communication, negotiation, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
Self-motivated with a drive to meet and exceed sales goals.
Positive attitude, professional appearance, and willingness to learn.
Basic computer proficiency and ability to use dealership CRM tools.
Must be available to work flexible hours, including some evenings and Saturdays.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Work Environment and Schedule
Customer-focused work environment
Indoors in the showroom and outdoors on the lot
Standing or walking for extended periods
The ability to lift and move moderately heavy items, such as parts or tools.
