Description Billing and Collections Representative – Hybrid. One Revenue Cycle (ORC) represents Providence employees working across Providence Health and Services (PH&S) in revenue cycle systems and structures supporting ministries and operations nationwide. ORC’s objective is to ensure the core strategy, One Ministry Committed to Excellence, is delivered along with an enhanced overall patient care experience (know me, care for me, ease my way) by providing a robust foundation of services, operational and technical support, and sharing comprehensive, relevant, and highly specialized revenue cycle expertise.
The Self Pay Specialist contributes to the achievement of service delivery, performance standards, and financial targets by:
Resolving large balance accounts effectively
Skip tracing to ensure optimal opportunities for account resolution
Re-establishing defaulted payment plans
Resolving exceptions to ensure proper flow of accounts through the self pay process
Minimizing accounts written off to internal bad debt
Working the Precollect inventory to minimize bad debt referrals to third party collection agencies
This position is a call center representative for Home Medical Equipment Billing and collections, and the majority of your day will be answering phone calls from patients.
Required Qualifications
Experience in medical management computer applications
Preferred Qualifications
5 years in medical billing and medical terminology
3 years in health care business office experience or related field
Salary Range by Location Oregon:
Portland – Min: $21.16, Max: $32.37
Washington:
Southwest – Olympia, Centralia & Below – Min: $21.16, Max: $32.37
