What’s involved in this role: We are looking for a
Laboratory Technician
in
Lake Norden, South Dakota.
Perform chemistry and/or physical sample preparation and testing.
Analyze and report laboratory data, verifying interpretation with more senior Technicians or leadership.
Responsible for equipment operation, calibration, cleaning and minor maintenance.
3-2-2-3 schedule
Rotating
position between
d ay s and nights :
6am-6pm, and 6pm-6am
Holiday pay and
Double time
on
Sundays
$1.50/hour
shift differential between the hours of 6:00 pm - 6:00 am
What you need to join our team:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Associate’s Degree or some coursework in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology preferred.
Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
Ability to walk, stand, bend and lift up to 50 lbs.
Experience with both metric and standard systems of measurement required.
Basic computer skills with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and field-specific software.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrate excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, establish priorities, ability to multitask, and meet deadlines.
Must be able to read, write, and communicate fluently in English.

Our Lake Norden, SD, plant is home to approximately 450 employees and boasts a brand new, state of the art cheese and whey facility. We produce mozzarella, provolone, parmesan, romano, asiago, and Monterey Jack cheeses as well as various whey streams.
Agropur’s US operations produce 1 billion pounds of quality, award-winning cheese each year. We create more than 20 different varieties, and provide whey protein and dry ingredients which are by-products of the cheesemaking process.
