Job Details The selected therapist will demonstrate competency in pediatric and adolescent assessment and intervention strategies (and adult competency if indicated for the role).
Responsibilities
Carry out thorough evaluations and implement appropriate treatment plans using evidence‑based practice.
Effectively communicate treatment plans with caregivers and patients, actively including them in goal setting and intervention processes.
Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans, and determine appropriate discharge timing.
Collaborate with other professionals within the organization and community to assure coordination of services.
Continually expand knowledge and skills, participating in professional development.
Actively participate in team meetings, completing all mandatory assignments.
Consistently exhibit Dayton Children’s Hospital values and culture in daily work and interactions with patients, families, and co‑workers.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy is required.
Physical Therapy License in the State of Ohio is required.
2 years of experience in Pediatrics is preferred.
CPR: Cardio‑Pulmonary Resuscitation – American Heart Association.
Other certifications may include PT Ohio, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Athletic Trainers.
Education Requirements Bachelor’s in Physical Therapy (Required).
Certification/License Requirements CPR: Cardio‑Pulmonary Resuscitation – American Heart Association, PT Ohio, Ohio Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Athletic Trainers.
