Get to Know Your Team:
Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center is a 128‑bed, full‑service, acute‑care community hospital with a new emergency department, a state‑of‑the‑art maternity center, a women's imaging center, and an ICU.
Responsibilities
This position is responsible for the planning, executing, directing and evaluating direct and indirect nursing care given to the surgical patient.
This nursing care ranges from pre‑operative intervention to postoperative evaluation. It is a practice designed to meet a patient’s needs through the nursing process, ensuring continuity of care during the surgical experience.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Must have RN NJ License
Current state Registered Nurse license
Currently licensed to practice professional nursing in the State of New Jersey and must be familiar with the Basic Nursing Performance Standards as outlined in the New Jersey Nurse Practice Act.
Evidence of continuing education in the field of OR nursing
2 years minimum as OR experience.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
Pediatric advanced life support (PALS)
Preferred Job Requirements:
BSN
CNOR
Certification in a specialty
Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education, and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
