Goodwill Industries of the Southern Piedmont is looking for a
Donation Material Handler
to work full time in our Gastonia location. This role offers a starting hourly wage of $15/hour, annual raises, bonuses, and full‑time benefits.

What You’ll Do
Greet donors, assist with unloading donations, and provide receipts.
Sort, inspect, and price merchandise following safety and quality guidelines.
Move items to the sales floor and keep work areas clean and organized.
Load/unload donation trailers and handle custodial tasks throughout your shift.
Track donation counts accurately and help maintain store cleanliness, including cart retrieval.
Report any safety, theft, or security concerns to management.
Support the team with additional duties as needed.
Work indoors and outdoors with exposure to the elements.
Requirements
Friendly, dependable team player who enjoys helping others.
No experience required; training will be provided.
Ability to follow safety procedures and perform physical tasks (lifting, standing, moving merchandise).
Open to feedback and eager to grow through free skill‑building opportunities.
Reliable, trustworthy, and ready to work in a team‑focused environment.
Active work: standing, walking, talking, reaching, bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling; heavy lifting up to 100+ lbs; good vision for distance and depth.
