Lallie Kemp Regional Medical Center is a 24-bed acute care critical access hospital serving the Florida Parishes region of Southeast Louisiana. This Health Information Coordinator 1/2 is responsible for screening patients in the Emergency Department screening area.
One year of experience in administrative services; OR One year of training in or completion of a business or clerical-related curriculum from a business school or technical institute.
Experience Substitution:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the required general experience.

Job Duties:
Issue account numbers to patients seeking medical services.
Verify and update patients' personal information.
Verify and update patients' health insurance.
Transferring orders to medical records for charting.
Assisting patients in Community Care Medicaid obtain referrals for visits.
Follow HIPPA Guidelines, and provide patients with HIPPA information.

Work Schedule:
The incumbent will be required to work 1:30pm- 12am rotating days, weekends and holidays.
