CBRE Temple - Texas - United States of America About The Role As a CBRE Building Facilities Technician, you will receive hands-on training and mentorship across a variety of mechanical, electrical, and building systems within our critical healthcare environment. You will play a vital role in ensuring the continuous operation and safety of our campus. The initial training period for this role will involve working on the 1st shift for approximately one month. After training you will be moved to your official 2nd shift from 3:00PM-11:00PM on a rotating on call schedule once a month. This position is based entirely on site at our Temple, TX campus. This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems. What You’ll Do Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and execute repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems throughout our healthcare campus. Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential issues, and implement effective repair solutions. Assist with the installation, modification, and upkeep of various building equipment and systems. Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to review assigned work orders, update statuses, and track completion. Complete work orders accurately and efficiently. Conduct recurring preventive maintenance tasks across all campus facilities. Work independently on assigned tasks, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills. Respond promptly to radio calls for emergency maintenance requests, escalating complex issues to senior technicians when specialized knowledge is required. Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions to identify root causes and contribute to solutions. Support energy management efforts by ensuring all building systems operate efficiently. Inspect existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations. Maintain a professional and client-facing demeanor while interacting with hospital staff, patients, and visitors. Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems and exchange straightforward information in a clear, concise manner. Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance. What You’ll Need High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Any prior experience in a maintenance-related role or technical field. Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more. Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work. Communication skills to exchange straightforward information. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
