Position: Assistant Men's/Women's Wrestling Coach (Part-Time) Location: Wisconsin (Bryant & Stratton College – Milwaukee, WI) Employment type: Part-Time General Description: Bryant & Stratton College seeks an Assistant Men's/Women's Wrestling Coach. Wrestling competes at the NJCAA Division I level (scholarship offering). The Assistant Coach supports the Head Coach in developing and advancing a competitive athletic program while demonstrating high moral and ethical standards and positive sportsmanship. The Assistant Coach focuses on excellence on the field and academic success in the classroom, enforcing college regulations, student conduct, and governing rules and regulations. Responsibilities
The Assistant coach serves in the College Athletic Department under the supervision of the Head Coach. Hold training sessions and monitor improvement of the intercollegiate wrestling team. Instruction of players, individually or in groups, regarding rules, regulations, equipment, and techniques of the sport. Support compliance with all NJCAA rules related to scholarships. Become knowledgeable of all NJCAA wrestling rules, including student‑athlete eligibility requirements. Attend and conduct practice sessions allowed by the NJCAA during the off‑season; practice schedules at the discretion of the Head Coach during the season. Travel with the team unless alternate arrangements approved by the Head Coach; may be required to drive vans to wrestling meets. Attend annual NJCAA Region IV meetings as required. Promote academic success of student‑athletes, monitor academic performance to ensure eligibility, and encourage high academic standards. Represent the College professionally at all times; supervise student‑athletes during travel to ensure safety. Other duties may be assigned by the Head Coach. Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree required. Preferred: Wrestling coaching experience at the high school level or above. Desired: Collegiate-level wrestling coaching and recruiting experience. First aid/CPR certification a plus. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, planning, and leadership skills. Ability to serve as a positive role model for young adults. Familiarity with NJCAA rules, regulations, and compliance a plus. Clean driving record preferred.
