This is a casual, night shift position located at Scripps Mercy Hospital San Diego in Hillcrest.

The PBX Operator answers calls and routine inquiries, routing to intended destination. Appropriately responds to and documents emergency situations, per policy and guidelines. Acts as a part of a team, including training new employees. Pages physicians, security or employees as appropriate via radio, pagers, computer, or over-head PA system. Follows all documentation procedures. Completes additional task such as sorting and mailing messages during downtime, delivering messages to physician offices and completing and distributing daily sheets.
Qualifications Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:
Strong customer service skills, computer skills, and ability to work in fast pace environment using repetitive hand motion with the ability to multi-task.
Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:
Health care experience, and Call Center/PBX experience.
Location Central San Diego County – Scripps Mercy Hospital San Diego, 4077 Fifth Avenue, San Diego 92103
Pay Range USD 25.00 – 29.29 per hour (California only)
