Telecom Central Office Travel Technician
Our client is searching for Central Office Telecommunications Technicians to decommission various locations. The role requires travel for several months at a time depending on the site, which could be in different states.
This contract position will be based out of Dallas, TX and is anticipated to close on Jan 12, 2026.
Duties
Secure and wipe data
Dismantle and remove equipment
Inventory assets
Dispose of assets
Remove furniture and junk
Perform repairs
Conduct a final walkthrough
Return keys
Preferred Background
Ability to log into telecommunications equipment such as DWDM, SONET, routers, switches, MUXes
Fiber optics experience (running jumpers, cleaning fiber)
Experience with test equipment (OTDRs, test sets)
Proficient with Microsoft Excel
Eligibility Candidates must submit to a drug, background, and DMV test and have several years of experience working in central offices and hands‑on experience providing telecommunications support.
Pay And Benefits Pay range: $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
