What does a Caseworker I do? Some of what you do as a Caseworker is:
Gain knowledge of the method, procedures, rules and regulations necessary to perform social service / case management support services
Schedule monthly interactions with children, families, care workers, faster families
Work with families to help them create a more productive environment
Advocate for clients’ rights and access to services
Help provide crisis intervention and support to clients facing challenging situations
Collaborate with other professionals, such as social workers and healthcare providers, to ensure comprehensive care
Assist families in understanding and utilizing resources from public and private social services to meet their needs
What education and/or experience do you need to be a Caseworker I?
A Bachelor’s Degree
OR Associate’s Degree with 2 years of paraprofessional case management
OR Associate’s Degree with 2 years of experience as a County Social Service Aide III
