JOB GOAL:
To guide students in becoming self‑sustaining learners capable of fulfilling their own intellectual potential, physical growth, social and emotional growth, and to direct students toward essential learnings.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: Planning and Preparation
Coordinate the district’s mission, belief statements, essential learnings, standards and benchmarks, through work with students and parents.
Coordinate and interpret students’ performance data.
Coordinate the child study team and consult with staff on the needs of individual students.
Coordinate services from Great Prairie AEA and community agencies for students and their families.
Personal and Social Concerns
Assist students in solving personal and social concerns that affect academic performance.
Ensure a building culture where individuals are valued, encouraged, respected and challenged.
Instruction
Establish and maintain ongoing two‑way communication with students and their parents concerning the academic, behavioral and social/emotional growth.
Professional Responsibilities
Improve professional competence through a growth plan supportive of the Mt Pleasant CSD Comprehensive School Improvement Plan.
Establish and contribute to collaborative relationships.
Participate in staff meetings, serve on committees, and contribute to the district’s Comprehensive School Improvement Plan.
Respect the confidentiality rights of students, parents, and colleagues.
Display professional ethics and behavior.
Perform other duties as assigned by the building principal.
