Temporary Production Worker / Packaging Operator. Salary: $16.00 to $17.00/hr. Shift: 7 am to 3 pm, Monday to Friday. Job Type: Temporary - 6 to 8 week assignment. Responsibilities

The packaging operator performs bagging and baler functions as directed by Shift Leads. Operate machinery in a productive manner following safety guidelines and procedures. Assist other production areas as needed. Move and wrap completed products. Lift up to 50 lbs and stand for a minimum of 7 hours per day. Assist the Shift Leads to start and stop pellet mills. Communicate moisture or material problems to the Shift Lead. Maintain a clean workstation. Other duties as assigned. The Bagging Operation

Operate bagging and baler machines, shrink wrap machines, forklifts, pallet jack, and bag sealer. Stack bags on pallets, cover pallets, and place finished goods in the correct warehouse location. Complete the Bagger production report, fill pellet sample cups every ton for quality control, and tag pallets with Quality Control information. The Baler Operation

Stack bales on pallets, seal and wrap pallets, and complete the Baler Operator production report. Check bale weight and record information on quality control tags and reports. Qualifications / Education

High School diploma or GED preferred. Prior forklift and production line experience preferred. Good eye, hand, and foot coordination. Must pass company forklift training. Ability to read and interpret scales. Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills to adjust weight and timing of baler and simple maintenance problems. Ability to perform simple math calculations.
