Come join our awesome team as a Speech Therapist with Home Health of Western Colorado. This is a PRN role! Must have Pediatric experience.
Pay:
$45.90–$51.20 per hour, based on experience!
Schedule:
PRN and requires travel to client’s homes.
The
Speech Therapist
will provide ongoing therapy to clients in a timely manner per physician’s orders, communicate progress within the agency, evaluate and treat clients, communicate with families, physicians and other health team members, and maintain appropriate documentation of services.
Qualifications
Minimum of a master’s degree in Speech Pathology with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC), or equivalent experience with adults/children with neurological disorders.
Valid license in Speech Pathology in the state (or actively accumulating the required supervisory experience).
Registration with the Department of Health or eligible.
Recommended Member of Speech Language Hearing Association.
Auditory and visual integration of large amounts of information (e.g., in‑service, evaluations, therapy tasks).
Excellent written and interpersonal communication.
Ability to read, write, and interpret professional evaluation materials; prepare in‑services; administer testing; make clinical judgments.
Ability to reason independently and solve problems related to self, clients, and others.
Handle stress from a demanding caseload.
Good ability to take complex direction, organize self, schedules, etc.
Interest in geriatric rehabilitation.
Able to operate a personal computer, Servox, and augmentative devices.
Essential Functions
Evaluate and develop treatment plans to improve communication efficiency.
Formulate treatment plans per physician request and obtain approval for services.
Initiate ordered treatments and communicate progress to physicians.
Document evaluations, weekly progress notes, discharge summaries, and other required information.
Maintain documentation per state, federal, and third‑party payer regulations.
Communicate and collaborate with team members regarding client progress, problems, and plans.
Participate in rehabilitation conferences and client care planning conferences.
Provide education to clients, families, and staff as needed.
Participate in in‑service training programs for agency staff as requested.
Comply with the Speech Language Pathology Practice Act in the state.
Perform other duties or special assignments as directed by the Director of Clinical Services.
