Experienced Maintenance Technician needed for growing manufacturing organization based in the greater Monroe, WI area. Full‑time position on 1st shift.
Base pay range $28.00/hr – $37.00/hr
Job Details Our organization, a leader in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician for 1st shift. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing various types of manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime. This role requires a technician with a strong background in repair, PM, and preventative maintenance, with a minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities
Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of the building does not deteriorate.
Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary.
Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, or equipment.
Plan and lay out repair work using diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, or schematic diagrams.
Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices.
Record type and cost of maintenance or repair work.
Coordinate work functions with co‑workers, supervisors, or other departments.
Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, ensuring a safe work environment for all team members.
Qualifications
A minimum of 5+ years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
Proven experience with repair, PM, and preventative maintenance.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, machinery operation, and working properties of materials.
Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
Demonstrated ability to use hand and power tools applicable to the trade.
Excellent problem‑solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
High level of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability.
Ability to work independently in a busy environment.
Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with team members at all levels of the organization.
High school diploma or equivalent; Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology or relevant field will be a plus.
