Location : Rochester, NY, On-Site
Schedule : Monday - Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm
Compensation : $25.00-$31.00, based on experience
The Facilities Maintenance Mechanic level lll performs tasks involved in the upkeep of the building and grounds along with maintenance and repair of CNC machines and various manufacturing equipment. The individual is expected to be a self-starter and work independently, while also being part of a team that maintains building security.
Role and Responsibilities
General maintenance duties throughout company buildings and grounds.
Responsible for light carpentry, electrical, pipe fitting, plumbing, and snow removal.
Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs to heating, ventilating, and air conditioning equipment.
Maintain machinery and equipment by cleaning, lubricating, greasing, and/or oiling to ensure optimum performance.
Perform preventative maintenance and minor repair work on production machines.
Visually inspect and test assigned machines and equipment for proper functionality.
Maintain and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and electrical systems.
Keep track of spare parts inventory and create lists for ordering.
Ensure that a high level of safety is adhered to at all times on and off the production floor.
There will be times when you will be required to work outside of your normal schedule. (ex. Staying late for emergencies, Coming in early for snow removal and possible working a Saturday morning)
Other related duties and tasks as assigned by management.
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent education required.
8+ years of experience with general building maintenance required.
8+ years of experience with CNC machine preventative maintenance and repair required.
Strong mechanical background.
Strong trouble shooting abilities.
Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel.
Preferred Experience with: Boilers, Air Compressors, Mid-level Electrical and Plumbing, Hydraulics, Motor Rebuilding and Maintenance.
Must be able to operate scissor lifts and boom lifts.
Must be able to operate various types of forklifts.
Physical and/or Environmental Requirements
Must be able to lift items up to 50 lbs. independently and safely.
Able to stand or walk for extended periods of time (up to 8 hours per day).
Able to climb up stairs or ladders, and crawl around/under machines as needed.
Must have hand dexterity to use multiple types of hand tools and equipment.
Must wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) properly and conduct all work in a safe and compliant manner.
