Key Responsibilities
Produce local news, sports, and talk programming for KWTO and KBFL.
Produce live and recorded sporting events broadcast across Zimmer stations.
Stay informed on current news and sports developments and provide on‑air analysis as needed.
Assist with booking guests for shows and coordinating interviews.
Create and manage social media content for each show, including developing graphics, writing posts for Facebook, X, and other station platforms, and producing podcast versions of key show segments.
Write and produce news content for on‑air broadcasts, digital platforms, and social media; anchor newscasts as assigned by the News Director.
Anchor severe weather coverage and participate in a rotating on‑call schedule for storm coverage.
Support music stations through voice tracking or filling in for on‑air shifts as needed.
Actively participate in staff meetings, consultant coaching sessions, and other company meetings as required.
Qualifications
Highly motivated, creative, and self‑directed professional.
Strong ability to work in fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environments with excellent multitasking and organizational skills.
Professional demeanor with outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
Proven ability to collaborate across departments to support station and company objectives.
Job Requirements
Minimum of one year of radio experience in an on‑air or production role preferred.
Experience creating and managing social media content across multiple platforms.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
