This is an online, fast‑track adjunct faculty position. Adjuncts supplement the faculty of a department whenever additional faculty are needed. Adjuncts hold appointments as defined by their letter of appointment, without eligibility for tenure; where authorized by the Dean, adjunct appointments may be renewed. Adjunct appointment does not guarantee course assignments. Required Qualifications
All faculty must have at least a Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing with current clinical experience. Unencumbered Virginia licensure eligibility is required. Current CPR certification is required. If certified as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), continued certification is expected. Preferred Qualifications
3 years of registered nurse experience preferred. Experience as instructor or adjunct faculty preferred. National certification in specialty preferred. Special Instructions to Applicants
Applicants must submit an unofficial copy of transcripts of post‑secondary coursework with the application. If the applicant’s official transcripts are on file in the Office of the Provost, a statement indicating such must be submitted in lieu of the documents with the application. Official transcripts of all post‑secondary coursework will be required upon selection for hire.
