Overview
Radiology Technologist – St. Anne Hospital at Mercy Health. New hires eligible for a $7500 sign-on bonus. As a Radiology Technologist, you will work under the direction of an authorized user to apply diagnostic imaging using ionizing radiation in diagnostic radiology, with a focus on safety and quality of care. Responsibilities
Obtain patient clinical history and relevant lab work; document and provide information for licensed practitioners. Position and immobilize patients to best demonstrate the area of interest while respecting patient comfort and ability. Apply radiation protection principles to minimize exposure to patients, self, and others. Perform radiographic procedures by selecting and operating imaging equipment and related accessories. Verify informed consent and complete pre- and post-procedure documentation. Assist licensed practitioners with fluoroscopic and specialized radiography procedures; apply aseptic technique as needed. Education
Associates from an ARRT-accredited institute (preferred). Licensing & Certifications
Certification and Registration with ARRT (required). State licensure (preferred, unless required by state). BLS Basic Life Support – American Heart Association (required; preferred upon hire, must obtain prior to direct patient care). Experience
1 year experience in radiation safety and patient care (preferred). Experience with Radiology Information System (preferred). Skills & Abilities
