Necessary Qualifications And Skills
2–3 years of experience in a full‑time Dental Assistant position, providing chairside assistance and back‑office support
Active Dental Assistant certification in the state of NY
Comfortable taking X‑rays, making temporaries, taking impressions, and removing sutures
General understanding of standard dental software, including Dexis and Eaglesoft
Excellent communicator – fluent in both English and Spanish
Self‑starting team player who owns work without direct supervision
Preferred Qualifications
Active Dental Assistant certification in NJ
X‑ray certification in NY and/or NJ
Conversant in French Creole
Accountabilities
End‑to‑end chairside assistance, from pre‑op prep to post‑op clean up
Professional and compassionate patient management, responding to inquiries with empathy
Encouraging patients to adopt deeper oral health care, offering at‑home instructions or recommending procedures such as Invisalign or whitening
Taking X‑rays
Making temporaries and taking impressions
Removing sutures
Maintaining a spotless office, executing standard sterilization and cleaning procedures without oversight
Managing back‑office patient flow to ensure efficient patient care
Stock management, ensuring all operatories are fully stocked and orders are placed in a timely manner
Entering procedure codes and chart notes into our software for doctors as needed
