Job Title
Surgical Tech II OR - PT - Lenexa City Center Job Description
Supports the surgeon and/or qualified first assistant during procedures by performing tasks such as sponging, suctioning, cutting sutures, holding retractors, and manipulating the endoscopic camera. Monitors conditions in the operating room, assesses needs of the patient and surgical team, and obtains additional instruments, supplies, and equipment as necessary. Supervises other healthcare team members in the surgical environment, providing orientation, training, and education to new personnel. Promotes a safe environment, takes appropriate action in emergency situations, and ensures adherence to regulatory standards and policies. Other duties as assigned. Gathers, checks, and opens supplies and equipment needed for surgical procedures, ensuring all items are functional and readily available. Maintains strict aseptic technique, performs surgical hand scrub, dons gown and gloves, and sets up sterile field and drapes for procedures. Qualification Requirements
High School Grad or Equiv (Required) Technical/Vocational School (Required) Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) RQI Resuscitation Quality Improvement Pay Range: $20.95 - $38.96 Schedule
