Front Office Specialist - Training Provided! is a role at Clarkson Eyecare. This position is described as the first point of contact and is focused on delivering a world class Total Patient Experience along with necessary administrative duties to support smooth check-in/out for patients. Location : Work is primarily performed in a standard office or clinical setting. Travel to other locations may be required to carry out essential duties. Essential duties and responsibilities

Embrace and execute our Total Patient Experience to build relationships with all patients while delivering great service and support. Provide exceptional customer service during every patient encounter (in person or via phone). Greet patients promptly with a professional attitude, and thank them when they leave. Answer phones (external and internal) and assure prompt, courteous service at all times. Practice urgency with consideration to the patient’s time and the doctor’s schedule. Double check insurance authorizations to ensure completion and assist with accurate flow sheets. Check out patients and collect correct payments according to procedures. Manage patient flow in the office and communicate to maximize efficiency and customer service. Complete daily reconciliations / close day / countdown cash drawer. Comply with all company policies and procedures, including HIPAA. Perform general office duties and cleaning as assigned by the manager. Qualifications

Previous medical office experience preferred; ophthalmic experience strongly preferred. Minimum of 1 year in a role interacting with customers/patients or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Favorable result on background check as required by state. Must be able to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States. Education and/or experience

High school diploma or GED required. Licenses and credentials

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook. Physical requirements

This role requires a variety of physical activities to effectively perform essential job functions. The position involves frequent walking (75%), sitting (50%), and standing (50%), with regular bending, stooping, and reaching (25–50%). Employees must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull items up to 25 lbs. Strong fine motor skills and full use of hands are essential, as the role demands constant grasping, writing/typing, and use of technology. Visual and auditory acuity—including color, depth, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus—is required 100% of the time. Occasional driving or climbing may also be necessary.
