Buyer II - Supply Chain
Blue Origin invites you to apply for the Buyer II – Supply Chain role as part of its Operations team, comprising Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This position supports manufacturing and supply chain activities across all Blue Origin facilities, helping us develop reusable, safe, and low‑cost space vehicles and systems.

Key Responsibilities
Prioritize and execute program requirements to meet organizational needs.
Interpret and apply company policies, procedures, and U.S. government regulations (FAR, DFAR, ITAR/EAR, SOX).
Issue Requests for Proposal and Requests for Quote, perform cost analysis, and develop negotiation strategies.
Lead formal negotiations and construct suitable contracting types for major procurement activities.
Take ownership of the procurement process from requisition creation through final payment of invoices, resolving issues promptly.
Identify, implement, negotiate, execute, and manage strategic agreements, including long‑term agreements (LTAs).
Support the procurement organization’s strategic direction and ensure corporate objectives are achieved.
Deliver production materials on time, within budget, and meeting technical performance requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of experience, or Master's degree with 3+ years of experience in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related industry.
Knowledge of FAR, DFAR, ITAR/EAR, and SOX compliance.
Strong analytical skills and experience establishing and tracking program metrics.
Experience creating and maintaining systems and processes to streamline operations.
Excellent oral, written, and people‑management skills.
Working understanding of AS9100 standards and engineering data such as specifications and source‑control drawings.
Proven ability to meet tight deadlines, multitask, and prioritize workload.
Experience defining scalable processes in ambiguous environments.
Adept at working with ERP, MS Office, and data‑analytics tools.
Strong problem‑solving abilities and a passion for continuous improvement.
Capability to earn trust and maintain professional relationships.
Preferred Qualifications
Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Active Department of Defense Secret Security Clearance or Special Access.
Experience with Costpoint and Machined Parts procurement.
Compensation California: $76,455.00–$107,035.95; Washington: $76,455.00–$107,035.95
