In this position the Material, Planning & Logistics Supervisor is a supervisory leadership role supported by on-the-job training, development, and opportunity for career progression.

Responsibilities

Supervise, evaluate, and empower an hourly team that produces manufactured products, and organize workflow to meet quality and daily productivity requirements.

Ensure safety, quality, and productivity objectives are met through coaching standardized work, verifying lines are running safely, smoothly, and producing quality parts.

Drive to exceed personal, team, Company goals by holding self & team to high performance standards through servant leadership.

Build strong interpersonal relationships with hourly team members, union, and management teams.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED.

1+ years of supervisory experience in a Material Planning and Logistic manufacturing environment.

Working knowledge in Microsoft: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Ability to work rotating shifts and hours, including nights and weekends.

Required Behaviors

Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism in difficult and stressful situations.

Two‑way communicator who actively listens to hourly team members, leaders, business partners and customers.

Highly committed to continuous improvement, while applying innovative solutions with a customer first mindset.

Create a culture of safety and apply and implement workplace policies.

Administer the CBA (collective bargaining agreement) consistently and effectively.

Values different opinions & is open to ideas & perspectives from others.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in operations, Transportation & Logistics, or Supply Chain.

Safety and MPL experience.

Six Sigma: Black or Green Belt certified.

Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles.

Prior experience managing a unionized workforce.

Ability to multitask.

Ability to work independently.

This position is a range of salary grades 6 and 7.
