Role Overview This is a dispatch-heavy, fast-paced operations role supporting a high-volume in-home delivery warehouse environment. The Lead Dispatch & Delivery Operations Coordinator serves as the central communication hub between delivery driver teams, contractor leadership, and internal operations. This role focuses on real-time decision-making, accountability, and ensuring smooth execution of daily delivery routes.
This is
not a traditional call‑center customer service role . The ideal candidate brings maturity, confidence, and hands‑on operational experience, with the ability to communicate firmly and respectfully with field teams.
Key Responsibilities – Dispatch & Route Oversight
Monitor 6–10 active delivery routes daily
Maintain continuous phone contact with driver teams during deliveries
Track route progress, delays, and exceptions; reroute as needed
Address driver performance issues and elevate to contractor leadership when required
Customer Escalation Support
Communicate with customers during in‑home deliveries to clarify services and expectations
De‑escalate complaints and resolve issues in real timeAct as liaison between drivers and customers to protect service quality
Warehouse Check‑In Support (AM)
Direct returning driver teams on haul‑away, trash segregation, and asset drop zones
Ensure drivers complete warehouse check‑in procedures
Identify and report missing assets or non‑compliance
Team Leadership & Communication
Provide direction and escalation support to CSR staff during shift
Document daily service disruptions, late departures, and operational issues
Share insights and recommendations with Operations leadership
Required Qualifications
Fluent in
English and Spanish
(verbal translation required)
3+ years of experience in
dispatch, logistics, field operations, or delivery coordination
Strong phone presence; confident, calm, and assertive under pressure
Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with live driver communication
Reliable, professional demeanor in customer‑facing escalation scenarios
Preferred Qualifications
Hands‑on background (appliance installation, furniture delivery, handyman, or trade roles)
Prior leadership experience in dispatch, warehouse, or delivery operations
Experience with TMS tools such as
Descartes Route Planner, CLX , or similar systems
