Overview
IVC Technologies is seeking a Business Development Manager to help expand our regional footprint and advance our predictive maintenance service offering in a B2B environment.
Location Houston metropolitan area, or anywhere along the Houston – Baton Rouge corridor.
Reporting to VP of Business Development and interface frequently with other top executives.
Primary responsibilities
Drive growth in the assigned territory – TX, OK, LA, NM, and potentially other states
Clearly articulate IVC’s differentiated offering to customers, in line with GTM strategy
Consistently identify customer needs and rapidly craft appropriate custom solutions
Prepare and present proposals, independently or in conjunction with other key players
Seek customer feedback and communicate proactively to internal stakeholders
Pursue incoming leads, qualify them and convert to tangible opportunities
Leverage IVC’s network of current and past customers for cross-selling and upselling
Leverage own network to generate opportunities for growth, regionally and nationally
Use Salesforce and related tools to plan and optimize own operation
Respond to RFP/RFQ opportunities and drive the process to successful completion
Proactively perform market research, identify targets, and pursue them independently
Collaborate continuously and constructively with operations, marketing, and engineering
Participate in Strategic Planning and Goal Setting, interfacing with senior management
Report progress to senior management and identify overarching trends
Participate in continuous improvement of sales and operational processes
Competencies and culture fit
At least 5 years of hunter-level B2B sales experience.
At least 5 years of experience in industrial sectors, preferably on the service side
Proven track record in selling service contracts and/or complex solutions
Genuine interest in understanding customer operations and unique pain points
Adequate dose of patience and tenacity to close deals with longer sales cycles
Background in predictive maintenance and/or IOT solutions is a major asset
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public presenting
Experience in influencing both plant-level and corporate-level stakeholders
Confident team-player with a competitive streak and a desire to win
Good dose of humility and a continuous desire to learn and improve
Entrepreneurial, flexible, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
Long term outlook and a desire to grow with the organization
Mature and responsible individual with a family-centric mindset
Ability to work independently, while adhering to processes and standards
