Group Supervisor
at
Silver Oak Academy
in Keymar, Maryland.
Silver Oak Academy is located on a scenic 78‑acre campus surrounded by sprawling cornfields, beautiful woods full of local wildlife and foliage, a football stadium, an athletic center (gymnasium, padded wrestling room, fully equipped weight room & more), a Tech Center, student housing for 96 youth, and an academic building all just a short commute from Frederick, Baltimore & DC. On‑site dormitories are available for staff use during their shift and overnight for those with a long commute or limited transportation.
Pay : starting at $52,000 per year.

What you will do The Group Supervisor exercises considerable independent judgment and authority on a daily basis through direction and supervision of both students and staff to meet expectations of the services provided. The Group Supervisor exercises direct control and direction over subordinate staff such as Senior Coach Counselors, Coach Counselors, Night Coach Counselors, transportation, etc. as assigned in the safety, care and around‑the‑clock supervision of students in the program. The Group Supervisor’s duties include participation and authority in decisions involving processes to hire, transfer, suspend, lay off, promote, discharge, assign, evaluate performance, reward or discipline other employees and program delivery.
Schedule 3.5 days per week, 12‑hour shifts.
A Shift – Sunday/Monday/Tuesday 8am‑9am and Wednesday 8am‑3pm (1 hour break each day)
B Shift – Thursday/Friday/Saturday 8am‑9pm and Wednesday 2pm‑9pm (1 hour break each day)
To be considered you should
One year experience working with at‑risk youth in a mental health setting or residential placement.
Supervisory experience preferred.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen (we no longer test for THC), physical, TB test and child abuse central registry search.
